Walk this way to discover the communes of Brussels

The Monuments and Sites Directorate (Direction des Monuments et Sites) of the Brussels-Capital Region has entrusted Generis with the graphic design of a series of walking maps published in order to raise awareness of the less-known heritage of the city’s communes and of the history of their built environment.
The need to develop an effective information structure for the complex editorial content was one of the key considerations for this assignment. This is the kind of challenge we enjoy!
Following a detailed analysis, Generis produced a striking, original design combining a full set of maps and recommended itineraries.
The end product, a range of brochures personalised to the various communes, has met with great success.

We are passionate about research !

Generis handles the publications of the Long-range Research Initiative (LRI) managed by the European Chemical Industry Council (CEFIC): a shared pool of research feeding into top-flight programmes in areas such as smart materials, genomics and the reduction of toxic substances.

In terms of positioning, the aim is to reflect the initiative’s considerable added value while placing health and well-being firmly at the centre of all communication. A strong conceptual approach which translates the industry’s determination to address the key issues linked to the reduction of chemical substances and the avoidance of genetic side effects.

Generis has redesigned the visual identity of the Union of the Electricity Industry in Europe. The new logo reflects the dynamic nature of the electricity industry in an environment shaped by rapid change and its positioning in terms of the wider public interest at European level.

An exhibition that works at two levels – at least!

An example of a complete carte blanche for a scenography presenting the museum’s latest purchases and donations.
And an occasion to present this less-known aspect of the curator’s role: the scope to embrace a personal vision, enrich the collection on a permanent basis and enable contemporary artists to make their mark alongside older works.
The exhibition is divided into six thematic sections. Every section is introduced by an installation showcasing the intriguing correlations between two iconic exhibits (an older item and a recent acquisition).
A subtle approach to the use of colour and to the presence of text in the exhibition area.

A new visual identity for the European Commission’s Enterprise DG

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise commissioned Generis to redevelop its visual identity in order to reflect a greater emphasis on SMEs and emerging markets. The graphic language hints at a setting shaped by information technology. Its structure is particularly efficient and optimally aligned with the operational model of a public institution working at international level.

The graphic manual was based on the design management principles set out by Generis. It is a precise, practical and efficient reference document which ensures the coherent application of the new visual identity.
